Chapter 65: Make Trouble

With an angry face, Yansheng listened to Huan telling her what happened in the car.

Unsurprisingly, it was Shuocheng who made trouble at school again. Huan received a call from his homeroom teacher today and asked him to come over.

In short, Huan was invited as a parent for counseling.

Huan also wanted to tell the teacher to ask the child’s mother to go there instead.

But the teacher’s stern voice came from the other end of the call, “Do you know why I chose to call you? This is my second year as Shuocheng’s homeroom teacher. In the past year, I have dealt with your wife many times. She is very unsupportive of our teacher’s work and even caused us a lot of difficulties. Her attitude greatly influenced Shuocheng’s behavior. Therefore, I’d like to have a face-to-face conversation with you regarding today’s matter. I know you are very busy at work, but I sincerely hope you can make some time for your child.”

The homeroom teacher didn’t realize how angry she was with Yingying and Shuocheng because she spoke with Huan in a very tough manner.

Huan was scornful and had no choice but to agree. When he hung up the call, he thought of Shuocheng’s behavior and he immediately got a headache. He knew in his heart that he might not be able to control Shuocheng if he went there. This kid would probably roll and cry on the ground and roll and cry, and he would be embarrassed if that happened.

Thinking of this, he couldn’t help but complain to the driver, complaining that Yingying didn’t know how to educate her children.

The driver smiled and said, “I heard from Mr. Zhou that Miss Yanyan is very good at managing Shuoshuo now. He said that when he sent Shuoshuo to school, Miss Hehe used Miss Yanyan to scare him. He would pout and would be angry, but he didn’t dare to disobey.”

Huan, who was invited as a parent, seemed to hear a ‘ding‘ above his head. That’s right, there is still Yanyan who can stop that little brat, Shuocheng!

“You don’t need to do anything. I’ll be the one to talk to the teacher,” Huan said awkwardly, “just calm him down, and don’t let him roll on the ground to embarrass me.”

Yansheng became angry and said, “Do you know how many classes I will miss today? Do you know how many notes I need to make up for them?!”

“Take your time and slowly make them up, don’t be angry.” Huan hurriedly soothed her out and comfortingly said, “Look, your current academic performance is not very good now, so don’t worry too much.”

Huan smiled and added, “Don’t stress yourself too much. With you being like this, Dad is already very satisfied. Our family is not the kind that must pursue grades. You are different from those kids. If you keep it like this, Dad will be very satisfied. Very satisfied.”

In fact, what Huan said was not completely wrong. Yansheng was indeed different from her classmates. Grades and academic qualifications would only make her life look better, but they would not determine the direction and height of her life.

She was only in Class 2 now and the atmosphere of the class was already like this. She couldn’t help but be coerced into studying hard and dared not relax.

But Yansheng was still so angry that she didn’t want to talk to her father.

The car drove to the school where Shuocheng and Heling were studying.

Shuocheng’s homeroom teacher was surprised when she saw that Shuocheng’s father also brought a young girl. Huan introduced her, “This is his eldest sister.”

“Hello.” Yansheng greeted the teacher and asked, “Excuse me, what did Shuocheng do?”

As she asked that, she glanced at Shuocheng.

Shuocheng shrank for a moment. Since he saw his eldest sister come in with his father, he was in a bad mood and tried to dismiss all the same questions popping into his head.

Why is she here?!

Why is she here?!

Why is she here?!

However, the word ‘she’ stayed there and Shuocheng couldn’t drive it out.

He trembled and his whole attitude changed.

The teacher felt something was wrong and gave him a strange look.

Although she was a little surprised because this girl looked like a high school student, shouldn’t she be in the school at this time? But the focus of the teacher here was Shuocheng and not his sister. She invited Huan into the office.

Yansheng didn’t want to follow in and be counseled, so she said, “I’ll wait outside.”

Huan was so anxious to be separated from Shuocheng, as he didn’t want to lose face in front of the teacher, so he said hurriedly, “Well then, look after your brother.”

He even gave his daughter a wink. The thought of throwing Shuocheng to her was as clear as the sky.

Yansheng tried her best not to turn her head and look elsewhere, and she didn’t roll her eyes in front of Shuocheng’s homeroom teacher.

The homeroom teacher also knew Shuocheng very well. She originally wanted Shuocheng to go in and talk with Huan. After thinking about it, she felt that it would be okay to communicate with Huan first without Shuocheng’s interruption.

After all, when Shuocheng’s mother was invited last semester, Shuocheng started to roll and cry all over the floor as soon as he saw his mother, which also left a deep psychological shadow on the teacher.

What was even more terrifying was that the mother didn’t think Shuocheng had done anything wrong at all.

“What’s the big deal? He is still young,” she said. “Why are you making such a fuss?”

It looked like ‘no one can bully us – mother and son’ or ‘I’m not easy to provoke’ kind of attitude.

The adults went into the office, leaving Yansheng and Shuocheng in the corridor staring at each other.

Shuocheng caused trouble today. Seeing Yansheng’s gaze suppressing him, he couldn’t help but tremble in fright. He subconsciously shrank his neck and wanted to move away from Yansheng.

After the teacher closed the office door, there were echoes of talking and walking in the empty corridor, so it was not a good place to talk. Seeing Shuocheng trying to move his position like a quail, Yansheng snorted, grabbed his neck, and dragged him outside the building.

She threw him under the sun, crossed her arms, and asked, “Tell me, what did you do wrong?”

Shuocheng grew up to be white and tender, with baby fat on his cheeks, which looked a bit cute under the sun, but he did all those annoying things.

In the crafting class, he used scissors to cut the braids of the girl in front of him.

Yansheng took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down, then looked to the left and then to the right.

Shuocheng’s calves trembled when he saw her action. He knew that his eldest sister was looking for something to hit him with.

If his classmates saw him stripped of his pants and hit by his eldest sister, Shuocheng would have no dignity in the future. No one would be afraid of him anymore. Everyone would laugh at him.

Shuocheng became more and more frightened as he thought about it. With a wail, he rushed up and hugged Yansheng’s thighs, “Sister, I was wrong! I dare not do it again! Don’t beat me up at school! Can you beat me up when we go home instead? Wooo…”

Yansheng was stunned.

Yansheng was having a hard time explaining how he started to howl before she could hit him. He was also very loud.

The blue veins appeared on her forehead. “Shut up!”

Shuocheng immediately shut his mouth.

Yansheng pressed down the blue veins on her forehead and asked, “Why did you cut her hair?”

Shuocheng muttered for a long time, his voice resembling a mosquito, and she couldn’t hear it clearly.

Yansheng shouted impatiently, “Speak louder! Have you not eaten?”

Shuocheng’s voice became louder and said, “Because… it looks good on her.”

This reason seemed to make Yansheng cranky so she wanted to beat him even more.

“What does it have to do with you if someone is good-looking? Are you jealous?” Yansheng asked.

Shuocheng answered, “I’m not jealous. She looks good with braids, so I just want to mess with her.”

Yansheng didn’t know what to say anymore. “I just asked you the reason why you did that!”

But Shuocheng just repeated the same thing, “Because she looks good.”

Yansheng suddenly lost her voice.

She stared at Shuocheng for a moment and asked, “Shuocheng, do you… like that girl?”

As soon as these words came out, Shuocheng, this little brat, even had a trace of shyness on his face.

Yansheng felt that she could not comprehend at all.

Just like how Heling’s male classmate, who was in the fourth grade now, had begun to fall in love.

She found Shuocheng to be very cute.

D*mn, how can kids now become so precocious?

Yansheng breathed a sigh of relief, gritted her teeth, and poked the little brat’s forehead to ask, “You, are you stupid?”

Her hand was so strong that Shuocheng was poked to the point of tears and shrunk up holding his forehead.

“If you like someone, do you have to bully her? Why are you, elementary school boys, so stupid?” Yansheng was speechless.

She suddenly thought of the evil deeds done by the grown-up Shuocheng in her previous life.

Normal children would mature slowly as they grew up. For example, the little boy who was pulling Heling’s braids might grow into a gentle and considerate gentleman in the future. To recall the bullying of the girls he liked in elementary school, he might just smile and cover his eyes later on. This kind of black history was unbearable to look back on.

However, Shuocheng’s growth environment was not good. He grew up in an unregulated, over-indulgent, and undisciplined environment. He did not develop in the direction of maturity, but he completely went in the wrong direction instead.

Yansheng suddenly realized that this moment might be a special time node in Shuocheng’s life.

Just like how she was born again last summer vacation, she had time to think about the future, had time to review, and was admitted to the preparatory class. Since then, she lived a normal life far from the previous pain of her youth and concentrated only on studying.

Yansheng’s hand poking Shuocheng’s head stopped and was clenched into a fist.

She took a deep breath and squatted down. Shuocheng was still a little boy, so Yansheng squatted down and stared at him.

“Shuocheng, let me ask you this.” She stared into the child’s eyes and asked, “If you like someone, do you want that person to like you too?”

Shuocheng covered his head and nodded.

Yansheng asked again, “But if someone doesn’t like you, would you know that?”

Shuocheng blinked as he was confused.

She then asked a different question, “If someone came to bully you now, would you like the person who bullied you?”

Sure enough, Shuocheng answered loudly, “I will hit him!”

Yansheng let out a long breath and said, “So if you bully someone, that person will not like you. Think about it, am I right?”

Shuocheng thought for a while, and then he was a little dumbfounded.

Unknowingly, the pattern of his three views was shattered into pieces, he had an indescribable feeling.

Yansheng looked at him and realized that he was really just a child. However, no one had carefully explained things and had given him a good reason for everything when he was a child. No matter what he did wrong, they would always say ‘he is still young’, so as he got older and older, he did more and more wrong things.

“Liking a person is not like that,” Yansheng explained, “to like someone, you have to be good to her, give her things she likes, do things that make her happy, and protect her when someone bullies her, instead of being the bad guy who bullies her.

“There was a boy who liked me. Do you know what he said to me?”

[Yansheng, where do you want to go? I’ll take you there! You can go anywhere, to Europe, the South Pole, or even to the ends of the Earth!]

[What do you want? I’ll give it to you! Tell me what you want! You don’t need to go back and find your father!]

[How crazy do you want to be? I’ll stay with you! I’ll stay with you to the end!]

[F*ck you! Don’t give me those sweet words!]

At that time, Yansheng just smiled while biting her cigarette.

[It’s the other way around, isn’t it? It should be ‘If you want to go crazy, can I accompany you’, right?]

Hearing her say this, Lichen exhaled white smoke and laughed madly.

That kind of madness made Yansheng’s heart thump and there seemed to be heat in her body that could not be diffused. She turned her head and drank a mouthful of wine to conceal it. When she turned back to take a puff, Lichen held her wrist.

In the party room, the lights were so festive, the music was loud, and the demons danced wildly. No one noticed what was happening in the corner they were at.

They almost kissed.

If only Qian had not come over with the wine.
